Adult Independent Living DSP
We’re hiring an Adult Independent Living DSP to support adults with intellectual disabilities as they develop greater independence, confidence, and daily living skills. In this role, you’ll provide individualized support based on each person’s goals and Overall Service Plan (OSP), helping individuals participate successfully in their homes and communities.
What You’ll Do:
Independent Living & Individualized Support
- Provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual disabilities based on individual goals and service plans
- Assist individuals in developing greater independence through daily routines, skill-building, and community participation
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals identified by the Interdisciplinary Planning Team (IDT)
Daily Living Assistance
- Provide guidance and hands-on support with meal preparation, household routines, and personal care needs
- Teach and encourage healthy habits, organization, and skills that promote greater self-sufficiency
- Assist individuals in maintaining safe and comfortable living environments
Health, Safety & Documentation
- Follow established procedures for medication support and health-related needs
- Monitor daily wellness and communicate important observations to the appropriate team members
- Complete required documentation including daily logs, communication records, and service-related paperwork
- Participate in trainings, team meetings, and program planning activities
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, patience, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass required background checks
