Youth & Young Adult Direct Support Professional

We’re hiring a Youth Services Direct Support Professional to provide direct care, guidance, and support to youth and young adults as they develop confidence, life skills, and greater independence.

In this role, you’ll help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where individuals can build relationships, learn new skills, and work toward their personal goals. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work across residential programs and community-based services, including Stepping Stones Resource Center (SSRC), to provide consistent support and encouragement.

What You’ll Do:

Youth Support & Relationship Building

  • Provide daily supervision, encouragement, and direct support to youth and young adults
  • Build positive relationships while modeling appropriate communication, healthy boundaries, and respectful behavior
  • Support individuals as they develop confidence, independence, and skills for success

Life Skills & Personal Development

  • Assist individuals with building independent living and daily life skills through hands-on guidance
  • Support activities such as meal preparation, organization, routines, and community participation
  • Encourage personal growth, engagement, and skill development based on individual needs

Program & Safety Support

  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and structured environment across residential and community-based service settings
  • Support daily program activities and participant engagement
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and team members to communicate needs, concerns, and progress
  • Provide consistent support across multiple service locations as program needs require

Documentation & Team Collaboration

  • Complete required documentation including daily logs, program records, and service-related tracking
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
  • Work collaboratively with staff to provide quality services and support positive outcomes

What You Bring:

  • Compassion, patience, and a desire to support youth and young adults
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and provide positive guidance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work across multiple service locations and program settings
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to pass required pre-employment screening and background check
